Transparent Will Drafting Costs

We offer clear and competitive pricing for Will writing services.

For instance, a typical standard Will will likely cost £260.00 plus VAT of £52.00, totalling £312.00. This fee includes the essential step of verifying your identity and address to ensure the legality of your document.

However, should your Will be more complex, perhaps such as the incorporation of a trust, a business interest, or a large number of specific beneficiaries, our fee will likely be £475.00 plus VAT of £95.00, totalling £570.00. This also includes the cost of verifying your identity and address.

Please note, these fees do not include bespoke inheritance tax planning advice. Nevertheless, we can discuss this as a separate service if required.

Our Solicitor Fee Structure

Our charges are calculated based on the time spent on your case, encompassing instruction taking, expert legal advice, written confirmation of instructions, and the precise drafting of your required Will. Our hourly charging rate is £245.00 plus VAT of £49.00 (£294.00 total). This may involve time spent meeting with you to take your instructions and advise, or in the preparation of legal documents.

For short letters (up to one A4 page) and brief telephone consultations (up to six minutes), we charge one-tenth of the hourly rate. Longer telephone calls are charged based on the actual time spent. Similarly, for longer letters, we charge one-tenth of the hourly rate per A4 sheet.

We charge £15.00 per person plus VAT of £3.00 (£18.00 total) to securely verify your identity and address.
