COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and any subsequent Pandemic - Wills

Marshalls Solicitors of Plymouth, continued to operate during the previous coronavirus stay at home restrictions and will do so again if the need arises.  We realised that this  was a worrying time for our clients and many wanted to ensure that their affairs were in order, by making a will,  or dealing with other important issues whilst not wishing to leave their home or leave themselves at risk of contracting Covid-19. This was particularly important if they were self- isolating or being shielded.

Assisting clients to ‘execute’ (sign in front of witnesses) their will was classed as ‘key work’ by the government which meant that solicitors could travel, if necessary, to assist their clients  to make valid wills.

We have continued to  instructions to prepare wills, by telephone or by Microsoft Teams  or similar online video meeting if clients prefer.

All our wills are prepared by a fully qualified and insured solicitor.

If you would advice we offer a fixed fee initial consultation. Please telephone (01752 254 555) or email us for information  (denysemarshall@marshall-solicitors.co.uk) and arrangements can be made without delay
